Headspace Wellbeing Programme

The Headspace Wellbeing sessions got started this week and it was great invite some new young people and a few familiar faces back to unit to join us!

The Tuesday craft group started off with a guided meditation to learn about the importance of using the correct breathing techniques followed by exercises to get the group going! 🧘

Thursday’s cooking group made flat bread pizzas from yoghurt and flour and the young people were able to get their hands in and sticky whilst having some in fab in-depth conversations about their wellbeing! 🍕

On Friday the group looked at the benefits of breathwork,  mindfulness and meditation and used ‘The learning circle’ to think about things that seemed hard and sometimes we might have wanted to give up, but kept going and now really enjoy 🥰

The morning finished with a mindful meditation and some gentle breathwork 🧘

The Wellbeing groups are designed to help young people who may need help with self-confidence, resilience, building self esteem, anxiety, self harm, anger issues or difficulties accessing school.

If you know a young person aged 11-19yrs who attends The Cotswold School who might need some help, please take a look on our website for further info where you’ll also find the referral forms 💜
