Bushcraft at Greystones Nature Reserve

The Headspace Bushcraft Wellbeing group had a fantastic morning exploring Greystones Nature Reserve this week!

We were shown around the robotic milking machine onto the farm 🐄 and learnt how people in the Iron Age lived in the Round House.

The students had a go at grinding corn and made some bread on the open fire and then finished off the morning learning about how the round house was built and getting stuck in testing their wall-making skills using wattle and daub!

Headspace is extremely grateful to Ros and Helen who led the session and @gloswildlife for allowing us to use this wonderful space on our doorstep!

Looking forward to more outdoor fun next week where the young people will have further opportunities to learn new skills, take part in activities that teach perseverance and self confidence and help them to enjoy the outdoors, which we all know is important for our mental health 🥰
